"The Heart is the Enlightened Mind"

         We spend all the time thinking. Which one should I follow the heart or the mind? Should I become heartless yet be smart? Should I become stupid yet warm hearted? Should I get what I want or what i need? These questions often come up when we are faced with situations with decisions. Some situations we just need to follow our heart's desires. "Love is blind" is often said that everyone knows of. When we are looking for a partner, we want him or her to be someone who has "standards". But all of these factors vanish when love is involved. That's when the heart finds its reasons when we deeply love someone.

       All of us have different beliefs. But when it comes to love, all of us are quite the same. The most important for us is to know that we are with our loved ones. Once we are in love, there are no more reasons for us to find within our own minds because the heart says it all. Our hearts have greater weight than our brains, not literally but emotionally.

        There are times that we disregard the economic status and physical appearance of the individual for the sake of the word "Love". When love is involved, there's no such thing as "standards". Even if he's poor and not good looking as we want him to be, we still go for what is the heart dictates. The heart is the enlightened mind because that's what the heart wants. We follow the heart without thinking because of what we feel. It means that we are ready to risk it all for the sake of love.

        In our body, the two internal parts are the heart an the brain. Even though the brain is the one that is responsible for all of our doings, the heart has a significant role when it comes to decision making. Thinking it more together with the heart helps us to make a reliable solution for a specific problem. There are times that using the mind leads us to failure and frustration. Once we use the heart in the right way, we can assure that it will flow with our desired plan.

        Friends, Fellow teenager, let us be reminded to think wisely and practically in involving ourselves in a relationship. If our hearts are logically guided with our minds we can decide rightly. Thus we can live happily in this world.
